Step 2: GitHub and Claude

Two more accounts. Use the same email as Cloudflare. Ten minutes.

GitHub

GitHub is where your site's code lives. Every change the agent makes gets saved there, so you can always see what changed and undo it. And because it's your account, the code is yours. No platform can hold your site hostage if you ever want to leave.

1. Go to github.com and sign up. Free plan.
2. Pick a username you won't be embarrassed by. It shows up in your repo links.
3. Settings → Password and authentication → enable two-factor.

Claude

1. Go to claude.ai and sign up.
2. Subscribe to Pro ($20/month). That's enough for everything in this guide. Opus 5.5 is efficient, and a full site build fits comfortably.
   • If you're building a lot and keep hitting your usage limit, upgrade to Max for the month, then drop back down to Pro once the site's live.
3. Download the Claude desktop app (claude.ai/download). You'll use the Code tab. That's Claude Code, the agent.
